Bureau Veritas Accredited for Liquid Injection Technique on CHN Analysis

Bureau Veritas Netherlands is launching a new CHN capability in January 2024. The CHN analysis is applied on fuel samples using the liquid injection method, which means faster turn-around-times and more precise results.

CHN analysis is a crucial test used to determine the elemental composition of (renewable) fuels in terms of carbon (C), hydrogen (H), and nitrogen (N). This information is vital for assessing the origin (C-14 content), quality, energy content, and combustion characteristics of fuels, including renewable and biofuels.

Our CHN testing method and process is certified by the Dutch Accreditation Council (RVA) under the ISO 17025 accreditation, which is compliant with the Dutch Emissions Authority’s (NEA) requirements for the proof of carbon content in renewable fuels and biofuel feedstocks.

Bureau Veritas is the first lab in the Netherlands accredited to implement this analysis using the liquid injection technique for CHN.
